"If you make your life a prayer, true prayer--one person continually asking one question--then all the rest is just details."
– Richard Rose (as quoted in the book "After the Absolute")
"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference."
– Reinhold Niebuhr
Join us from anywhere in the world for an exciting exploration into the mysteries of Being!
TAT Founder Richard Rose encouraged his students to follow their higher intuition and to make a commitment to Truth for its own sake. In this one day online session, we will investigate how listening, prayer, surrender, and trust could be relevant to a seeker of Truth, and what the mystics might mean when they speak of dissolving into the divine.
We'll hear from some who have found the answers they were looking for, from seekers who are trying to find their way, and we’ll also have a chance to interact with other participants in small discussion groups.

Jerry Wennstrom
In 1979 Jerry Wennstrom was a rising star in the New York art world when he let go of his identity as an artist by intentionally destroying his large body of art and giving away his money and all his possessions. With this leap of faith, he embarked on a 15 year journey listening, seeking, relying on intuition and unconditional trust to guide and provide for him. After settling on Whidbey Island, WA, and marrying his muse Marilyn Strong, Wennstrom has since created a large new body of art. These thirty large, archetypal interactive sculptures are both humorous and deeply meaningful. Jerry Wennstrom is also the author of “The Inspired Heart: An Artist’s Journey of Transformation” (2000) and is the subject of Parabola and Sentient Publications documentary video, “In the Hands of Alchemy” (2002). In 2018, Wennstrom stopped carving and devoted his months to the creation of an all-inclusive 248-page hardcover coffee table book, “A Second Wind: Art Resurrected” (Pomegranate Seed Productions, 2022). You can listen to his 2018 interview with Shawn Nevins on the Journals of Spiritual Discovery podcast here: www.spiritualteachers.org/podcast/jerry-wennstrom-interview/
Tess Hughes
Tess Hughes, an Irish woman who lives in Ireland, came across the TAT Foundation one Autumn evening in 2003 while Googling an old boyfriend whose name was Richard Rose! This serendipitous event eventually (7 years later) led her to "the golden find beyond the mind" that Richard Rose—founder of the TAT Foundation—referred to. Tess attributes the direction, encouragement, and knowledge she found at the TAT community to forging the way for this transformation in herself. Watch her talk from the August 2020 TAT Virtual Retreat "Contacting the Inner Child" or her interview on ConsciousTV.
Shawn Nevins
"Author, filmmaker, poet, podcaster... what's the thread that runs through it all?" asks Shawn. "I wrote a book called Subtraction, which is as close as I could come to illustrating the path to enlightenment. Turning away from the untrue, from the dark, towards that which may seem unknown but is actually the Light. If there's a thread, that's it: finding and living my highest light." His newest book is Passages: An Introduction and Commentary on Richard Rose’s Albigen System. See more of Shawn's work at www.spiritualteachers.org. Shawn and his wife live in the San Francisco Bay area.

What is the TAT Foundation?
A group encouraging people to think rather than believe. A group determined to help people find ways and means to answer their deepest philosophical questions. A gathering of friends who are not afraid to be honest with one another. An island of hope and sanity (or at least the hope for sanity!). Last, but not least, TAT is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization chartered in 1973.
