Friday Evening

Stepping Outside Your Typical Weekend World - Shawn Pethel

Where are you on the path to self-realization? What have you seen, and what are you not seeing clearly? For those who can start their weekend early, our Friday evening session involves a round-robin discussion that will provide an opportunity to take stock in your own spiritual path. All seekers face frustrations, doldrums, and a seemingly endless list of distractions. Furthermore, we may be caught in a situation where we are looking for our eyeglasses while wearing them. Are we missing the obvious? Are we truly blind to our own roadblocks? Or do we see clearly but choose to ignore self-evident truths?

Saturday

Three concurrent workshops by Bob Cergol, Paul Constant, and Shawn Nevins

Intuition and Honesty - Bob Cergol

Everyone treads the path to truth based on feelings. Left-brained seekers typically react without acknowledging them, devising rational explanations for their reactions and getting caught up in conceptual thinking. Right-brained seekers largely bypass the analytical spinning and go directly into the whirlpool of emotional thinking. Is there a shortcut to self-honesty through learning to listen to intuition and acting on it?

Half Way Home - Paul Constant

Words, thoughts, feelings—mind. A truer aspect of you is always behind this ever-changing drama called life. For centuries, mystics have pointed to a watcher or observer that serves as a portal to our Essence. Paul's workshop is intended to lead us within by questioning "thought." We'll attempt to shift the participant's view inward, from which a more essential viewer will notice the mind in the view. And, from such a vantage point, when we're able to turn the internal head away from this view, we are—in the words of Richard Rose—half way home.

Opening the Heart - Shawn Nevins

Why don't we give our selves wholly to the endeavor? Can we see honestly, admit our current position, and follow our longing? Poems, stories, sleight of mind, movement, stillness—every technique is fair game in this session as we try to help one another open the heart.

Right-Brain Rumble - Ben E., Corina B., and Tune S.

What do you do when you're mentally tired and fighting the after-dinner drowse? We'll lead participants through some games and exercises aimed primarily at right-brained, refreshing, and intuitive activity.

Sunday

Workshops (continued)

The three concurrent workshops from Saturday continue in breakout session #3. Groups will rotate to their final workshop.

Feedback to participants - Monitored by Mike Gegenheimer

Session leaders and participants provide observations and comments to each participant—the goal being to help each self-inquirer see what may be blocking self-knowing.
